Our Massage Therapists
InForm Physio massage therapists are registered practitioners, fully-trained to an advanced level, and knowledgeable about rehabilitation, health and wellness needs. To find out more about our therapists, click here.
Your session will include a pre- treatment consultation to find out your treatment goals, relevant health history and other individual needs. If you are seeing the physiotherapist, podiatrist, personal trainer or other health professional, your massage therapist can target your sessions to complement your other health programs. Or your massage can be stand-alone session/s.
We specialise in treatment-focused massage therapy to address or prevent soft-tissue problems. Bodywork techniques include deep-tissue and neuromuscular techniques, sports massage, trigger point work, scar tissue release, myofascial release, positional release, active and passive stretching, and more. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about our services on offer.
Which type of massage do I need?
Some of our clients simply wish to de-stress and ease tired or aching muscles, and they tend to choose either a relaxation massage, a deeper-tissue therapeutic massage, or gentle Bowen therapy.
Other clients require more in-depth treatment to get to the bottom of a problem, including a posture and movement assessment and bodywork therapy focused on addressing the underlying cause rather than just the symptoms; these clients choose either remedial massage or Bowen therapy.
Others have specific goals in mind, such as sports performance or recovery, work fitness, pregnancy and post-natal care - we tailor our massage sessions specifically to your needs.
We even offer on-site massage and can bring our massage table or chair to your office; corporate massages can be done through clothing.
Session lengths
Our usual session length in the clinic is 1 hour , but we also offer 30 minute and 90 minute sessions. On-site sessions are typically 15 minutes. If you require a different session length than these, please ask your therapist.
I’ve heard of massage therapy, but what is Bowen therapy?
Bowen is often described as the ‘homeopathy of bodywork’; it uses gentle cross-fibre movements to release muscle tension, balance the body, and encourage the body to heal itself. Bowen can provide rapid and substantial relief from a range of issues – not only muscle or joint conditions but also respiratory disorders, digestive problems, gynaecological issues and more. It is also useful for sports performance and recovery and for acute injuries. Bowen is safe for anyone including newborn babies, special needs and the elderly, and it can be done through light clothing.
